Second marriage: talking openly about children and expectations

மறுமணம்: குழந்தைகள், எதிர்பார்ப்புகள் பற்றி வெளிப்படையாகப் பேசுதல்
Second marriages often involve more people than the couple: children, parents, and sometimes former in-laws. Talking about these things early is not unromantic — it is respectful.
Decide what to share, and when
On Vedha Shri Matrimony, details about your children are shared only with members whose interest you accept. Many members share the basics (whether they have children and who they live with) up front and the details after an interest is accepted.
Questions worth discussing
- Where will the children live, and how will schooling and guardianship work?
- How do both families feel about the marriage?
- What financial commitments already exist?
- Where do you each want to settle, and does either job require transfers?
Be clear about legal status
Only people who are legally free to marry can be published. If a divorce is still in progress, the profile is held for review. Keep your decree or relevant certificate ready; you can submit it privately for verification, and it is never shown to other members.
Go at a comfortable pace
There is no need to rush. Shortlist profiles, send interests when you are ready, and involve family members you trust.
