How to write a matrimony profile that gets genuine responses

உண்மையான பதில்களைப் பெறும் திருமண சுயவிவரத்தை எழுதுவது எப்படி
A good matrimony profile is not about sounding impressive. It helps the right family recognise that you could be a good fit — and helps others decide quickly that you are not. That saves time and disappointment on both sides.
Start with the basics, accurately
Your date of birth, marital status, district and employment category are the first things people filter on. Enter them exactly. A small mismatch discovered later (for example, age or marital status) damages trust far more than the fact itself.
Write “About me” in three or four sentences
- Who you are: your work, where you live, and what an ordinary week looks like.
- What you value: family closeness, faith, career plans, where you want to settle.
- What you are looking for: the qualities that matter, not a checklist of height and salary.
Avoid copying lines from other profiles. Simple, specific sentences in Tamil or English read better than long general ones.
Choose recent, natural photos
One clear face photo and one full-length photo taken in the last year are enough. Avoid heavy filters and group photos. Photos are shown only to registered members after review.
Be clear about preferences — and flexible where you can
Partner preferences drive your suggested matches. Keep them to the basics — age, marital status, district and education — and the match explanation tells you exactly which preferences a profile meets.
Keep private things private
Caste, income and details about children are optional. Share only what you are comfortable with. Never put your phone number in the “About me” text.
